Meet Dr Selina Samuels
Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
English Tutoring Program Based on the Curriculum
Cluey's Secondary English learning programmes are based on the New Zealand Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core literacy skills, including reading and writing techniques in the early years, and grammar and punctuation in the senior years. Lori has worked for over 20 years assisting people aged 15-64 years with skills needed to enter or return to mainstream education. Lori is confident in building relationships with a variety of students, identify their needs and solving these needs with acquired expertise and mentorship.

Jayraj exhibits a calm and collected approach to his sessions. He encourages students to explore mathematical concepts at their own pace, providing guidance to improve understanding. He always focuses on the challenges of written and spoken communication by concentrating on the fundamental rules of grammar, spelling, comprehension, reading and writing.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
